Blackberry Jam
How to make Blackberry Jam?
Ingredients
- 1kg blackberries
- 1 kilogram of granulated sugar
- 2 cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
-
1
Sour blackberries (also known as barberry), picked individually, are combined with the granulated sugar in the recipe and turned into blackberry jam to bring the taste of summer to our winter breakfasts. A slice of toast, butter and a spoonful of blackberry jam.
-
2
After washing the sorted blackberries in plenty of water, drain the excess water.
-
3
Place the blackberries, one layer of blackberries and one layer of granulated sugar, in a medium-sized pot. Leave it in a closed pot at room temperature for about 2 hours to release the water thanks to the granulated sugar.
-
4
Put the fruits that release their juice into the oven. Continue the cooking process that you started on medium heat for 20-25 minutes on low heat.
-
5
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and cloves if desired to the jam that has started to thicken, then cook for 3-4 more minutes.
-
6
Transfer the jam you took from the stove to a clean jar after cooling. Close the lid tightly and store in a dark and cool place. Share your breakfast and dessert recipes with your loved ones.
