Instructions
We baked the potato dip recipe, which is one of the most popular main course recipes, with a layer of potatoes and a layer of minced meat, in the oven with the addition of grated cheddar cheese to make it healthier and a little more delicious. It is possible to prepare the "sitting" recipe, which can be served in slices, in portioned containers.
The most important feature of this potato dip recipe is that you can bake and use the potatoes in the oven without having to fry them or make a mess. While you are preparing the minced meat mixture, the potatoes are pre-cooking in the oven. This way, your meal will be ready both easier and in a shorter time. 1.5 cups canned tomatoes (cut into cubes) (or 2 tomatoes)
After placing the first layer of potatoes, spread the minced meat mixture over it and distribute it evenly. Gently press the last layer of potatoes to ensure they integrate with the minced meat.
To make the potato dip, peel the potatoes and cut them into thin rounds. Spread it on a baking tray, grease it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lightly salt it, bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes and set it aside.
Put the remaining olive oil and butter on the stove. Start frying the minced meat. When it takes color and absorbs the water, add the garlic and onion and continue frying.
Add tomato paste, canned tomatoes cut into cubes and finely chopped green pepper and continue roasting.
When the tomatoes release their juice and the peppers soften, turn the stove to low heat and add all the spices and mix. Close the lid and cook like this for another 5-6 minutes. Then remove it from the stove.
Lightly oil the baking dish in which you will prepare the potatoes and place half of the potatoes on its bottom.
Pour the minced meat mixture you prepared onto it and spread it evenly.
