Place the washed and drained beef into a deep pot. Add enough water to cover it and boil it for 30-35 minutes over medium heat.

While the meat is boiling, drain the chickpeas, which you soaked in water the night before, depending on their type and freshness, and then boil them over low heat for the same amount of time, adding enough drinking water to cover them.

Chop the onions into small pieces. Remove the boiled cubed beef with the help of a colander. Strain the boiling water of the chickpeas.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a large pot. Sauté the chopped onions until they acquire a light colour. Add tomato and pepper pastes.

Add the hot broth to the tomato paste and onion sauce, to which you add red pepper powder, salt and black pepper. Add the boiled chickpeas and beef.
