How to make Hawthorn Vinegar?
Ingredients
- 1kg hawthorn
- 1.5 teaspoons of rock salt
- 1 apple
- 1 tea glass of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
- 2 liters of water

Hawthorn vinegar is a natural product used in the kitchen, obtained by fermenting the hawthorn fruit (Crataegus). Vinegar, which is popularly thought to be good for cardiovascular health, is known for its high antioxidant content.
Let's take advantage of the benefits of hawthorn with a vinegar. Let's enjoy a healthy life together. Here's how to do it step by step.
For Hawthorn Vinegar, put the water in a container, bottle or jar that can hold about 5 liters.
Wash the hawthorns well. Then drain the excess water and dry it.
Place the hawthorns, cleaned of excess water, into a bowl filled with water. Slice the apple and add it.
Add salt, sugar and vinegar and close it tightly.
Shake the mixture well, making sure it is tightly closed.
Let it ferment in a room with daylight, under sunlight between morning and noon, and in a cool and dry environment away from sunlight at other hours.
Your vinegar will be ready after approximately 10 days of fermentation.
Strain your fermented hawthorn vinegar using a strainer. Transfer it into a glass bottle, ensuring that the fruit does not get into it.
